Food Storage and the Second Amendment

Proper food staorage is one of the most basic necessities every family needs to survive troubled times. Imagine a major natural disaster, biological warfare, socio-economic collapse (it's closer than you think) or even something as little as your main wage earner losing a job or getting injured. Having food storage may save you from taking drastic measures to feed your family in an emergency.

Knowing what items you need and how much is the first concern. The next concern is making your food storage have a long shelf life through proper packaging and storage.

One of the most overlooked items that goes hand in hand with food storage is protection. Besides the other reasons for owning and becoming proficient with firearms is the need to protect your property. We should be cheritable, but not foolish. Protecting our families during times of crisis is vitally important and for that cause we must be able to secure our own food storage and protect it.

A good solid 12 gauge shotgun is a good all-purpose weapon, but is only useful if you make the investment in ammunition. Do not be afraid or intimidated by a firearm. Be smart and safe. The best way to keep yourself safe around firearms is to become familiar with it and learn how to use it.
