More Backstory on the Passing of Prop 8

This message was sent to me in reply to something I wrote on a message board concerning Prop 8.

"After viewing this mornings paper, we are certainly in the forefront of this issue. My friend sent this to me last night.

Dear Friends,

In the aftermath of the recent election, we may find ourselves oddly on the defensive regarding our support for the Yes on Proposition 8 cause. Our young people have been especially subject to mean spirited comments by high school friends and teachers. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We did nothing wrong. In fact, we did everything that a civic minded American can and should do. I have put together a few facts that help me to appreciate our position better. For example:

Mormons make up less than 2% of the population of California. There are approximately 800,000 LDS out of a total population of approximately 34 million.

Mormon voters were less than 5% of the yes vote. If one estimates that 250,000 LDS are registered voters (the rest being children), then LDS voters made up 4.6% of the Yes vote and 2.4% of the total Proposition 8 vote.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) donated no money to the Yes on 8 campaign. Individual members of the Church were encouraged to support the Yes on 8 efforts and, exercising their constitutional right to free speech, donated whatever they felt like donating.

The No on 8 campaign raised more money than the Yes on 8 campaign. Unofficial estimates put No on 8 at $38 million and Yes on 8 at $32 million, making it the most expensive non-presidential election in the country.

Advertising messages for the Yes on 8 campaign are based on case law and real-life situations. The No on 8 supporters have insisted that the Yes on 8 messaging is based on lies. Every Yes on 8 claim is supported.

The majority of our friends and neighbors voted Yes on 8. Los Angeles County voted in favor of Yes on 8. Ventura County voted in favor of Yes on 8.

African Americans overwhelmingly supported Yes on 8. Exit polls show that 70% of Black voters chose Yes on 8. This was interesting because the majority of these voters voted for President-elect Obama. No on 8 supporters had assumed that Obama voters would vote No on 8.

The majority of Latino voters voted Yes on 8. Exit polls show that the majority of Latinos supported Yes on 8 and cited religious beliefs (assumed to be primarily Catholic).

The Yes on 8 coalition was a broad spectrum of religious organizations. Catholics, Evangelicals, Protestants, Orthodox Jews, Muslims – all supported Yes on 8. It is estimated that there are 10 million Catholics and 10 million Protestants in California. Mormons were a tiny fraction of the population represented by Yes on 8 coalition members.

Not all Mormons voted in favor of Proposition 8. Our faith accords that each person be allowed to choose for him or her self. Church leaders have asked members to treat other members with "civility, respect and love," despite their differing views.

The Church did not violate the principal of separation of church and state. This principle is derived from the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ." The phrase "separation of church and state", which does not appear in the Constitution itself, is generally traced to an 1802 letter by Thomas Jefferson, although it has since been quoted in several opinions handed down by the United States Supreme Court in recent years. The LDS Church is under no obligation to refrain from participating in the political process, to the extent permitted by law. U.S. election law is very clear that Churches may not endorse candidates, but may support issues. The Church as always been very careful on this matter and occasionally (not often) chooses to support causes that it feels to be of a moral nature.

Supporters of Proposition 8 did exactly what the Constitution provides for all citizens: they exercised their First Amendment rights to speak out on an issue that concerned them, make contributions to a cause that they support, and then vote in the regular electoral process. For the most part, this seems to have been done in an open, fair, and civil way. Opponents of 8 have accused supporters of being bigots, liars, and worse. The fact is, we simply did what Americans do – we spoke up, we campaigned, and we voted.

Hold your heads up high – you did a great job on this most important cause. We will have more opportunities in the future to participate in our democratic process. Let’s remember the lessons learned and do an even better job next time.

Okay, now lets get back to business.

The radical homosexual mafia blames the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints for the passing of Proposition 8. They are planning a systematic boycott on the state of Utah, specifically in the areas of tourism. What we must do is consider taking our next vacation to Utah. There are beautiful ski resorts, national parks and monuments, state parks, and museums. Stay in Salt lake City and see the sites, rent a houseboat on Lake Powell, ski Park City, or raft the Colorado River. There is so much to do in Utah during every season of the year, so consider Utah when you plan your next vacation.

Maybe you have thought about taking a trip to San Francisco. Well, I've been there. It would be a great place to visit if you enjoy the smell of urine in the streets and the sight of now legal prostitution (hold on before you get all excited pal, these "prostitutes" are really crack addicted transvestites).

Vacation in Utah! It's beautiful, it's clean and you won't get any venereal diseases through common contact!

The Culture War in Action

In 2000 prop 22 was passed by 61% of California voters. Prop 22 was a law that distinguished marriage as being between a man and a woman. That is to say that Californians voted to not allow same-sex marriages to be valid or recognized in our state. Since that time the gay agenda and all it's lawyers have been embroiled in a battle to overturn that law.

Fast forward to 2008:

A proposition is being written that would reaffirm the law passed in prop 22 that would put an amendment in the state constitution that would state "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

Even with the knowledge of the ballot proposition to come, the state supreme court decided to hear the case and by a 4-3 vote overturned the will of the people. They knew we would have the opportunity to vote on the issue in November, but they rushed to make a decision before that time in order to change the argument.

What argument do I mean? The wording of the proposition wasn't changed. That's right, the side upholding traditional marriage didn't change their stance, the courts changed it for us. You see, they sited "a change in public opinion" as their reasoning for overturning the law we voted to enact, even when we had the ultimate judge of public opinion coming in the form of the 2008 election. The argument that the courts changed was our stance on reaffirming traditional marriage to ELIMINATING RIGHTS. That was the main goal of the court striking down prop 22 as it did just months before the 2008 election, when we would have the opportunity to see what real public opinion is.

Judicial activism is ugly and divisive, but the left has used it well in pushing forward their perverse agenda. We as Christians tend to say live and let live. We are charged with bigotry, but the evidence to support that claim doesn't typically ring true. We see the world differently than other groups, but not in a hateful way. In fact we believe in love for all as Christ taught.

You see, even with our courts and our State Attorney General in opposition to us, we stood up and let it be known, we are not backing down. We are not allowing our culture to be destroyed. We stand to lose religious freedoms if we allow the far left liberal agenda to become the culture. While they preach tolerance, they hate religion and actively lobby to wipe it out. In particular they believe Christianity is oppressive and wrong. I am here to tell you that there is nothing more right than having faith in Christ. We are founded on Christian principles.

Thomas Jefferson wrote these words in the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

It is only by Christian principles that the freedoms we hold today even exist. Allowing our culture and our government to be subverted by those who strive to take away our religious freedoms is handing our way of life over to utter destruction. We have already seen in California how much they want to get to our children for their indoctrination. Have you ever noticed that the California Teachers Association is on the wrong side of every moral argument? That is because the California teachers are for the most part far to the left of center. Do you remember, not too long ago, the news reports stating that homeschoolers would have to become credentialed teachers to continue schooling in the home? Those are the kinds of ongoing attempts to take hold of our children so they can be reeducated. The fight for our children couldn't be to ensure a quality education. It is proven that quality of public education is on the decline while homeschooled children are succeeding.

You must be aware of what is really going on. It is not just about certain issues. We are fighting against a movement toward godless communism. Revelation 3:16 says, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." We must be active in upholding our religions and our culture or we stand to lose both.

Enemy of the State

The American Civil Liberties Union has proven itself time and time again to be committed to the destruction of our culture and our values. As Americans it is in our best interest to support traditional culture, not constantly redefining it.

As part of the ACLU's statement on "religion and belief" they state:

"Unfortunately, some people are now trying to use government power to promote religion in exactly the way the Constitution wisely rejected. The ACLU works to ensure that people remain free to choose which religious beliefs (or none) they wish to express and that governments, school boards, and legislatures do not become involved in deciding which religious beliefs should be promoted or in spending taxpayer dollars to support religious activities and symbols."


Our freedom to worship how we wish is now being used to promote the ideals of godless liberalism. Religious people don't want our churches to become the government, but we do expect that the government would not actively work to undermine our religious beliefs. The ACLU does all it can to use the government and our religious protections to destroy the civilization that God loving Americans worked to establish.

The biggest problem with the "separation of church and state" argument is that left out of the equation is the Church of Liberalism. It has many sects that come together united under the name of the Democratic Party. It is exactly what our forefathers fought against. Liberalism is anti-God, anti-religion, anti-culture, anti-life, anti-white and anti-traditional family. It is pro-gay, pro-death, and pro-criminal.

Religious belief is not offensive. Religious belief is about bringing a greater amount of virtue to our culture. Liberalism is about eliminating virtue and serving up intolerance to the religious population.

The ACLU has on it's website this statement under the title "Immigrants' Rights":

"The Constitution guarantees the fundamental rights and civil liberties of every person in this country and was designed to protect the most vulnerable members of our society. Yet, throughout history, immigrants have been the targets of discrimination, government abuse and divisive and inhumane immigration policies. Upholding the rights of the politically disenfranchised is important to us all. When the government has the power to deny legal rights and due process to one group of people, it puts all our rights in danger."


Wow, this statement is situated right next to a picture of a sign saying: "NO HUMAN BEING IS ILLEGAL"

That statement is true if each human being is standing in the country in which they are either A. a legal citizen or B. a legal guest of that country. The United States of America has no inhumane immigration practices unless you think requiring people to stay in their own country until invited to come makes us inhumane. We have a system of documents and forms, designed by lawyers, in which people from all over the world may apply for admittance into the U.S. When people come here illegally it slows down the system for legal immigration, creates an underclass which lives beneath the shadows, and puts undue burden on the true citizens of this country.

The ACLU could easily be plucked apart until all you have left is a pile colorful feathers laying next to the Communist Manifesto. What we must do as patriotic Americans is fight against the lies of the ACLU and unite for the restoration of TRUE constitutional principles and protections.

Obama's Chickens Coming Home to Roost

Reverend Wright, the anti-American racist, has crawled back out from under his rock and says it's the media's fault that Barack Obama severed ties with him during the presidential campaign and that his statements were taken out of context. In my church if someone said "God damn America" from the pulpit in any context you would not see people cheering as a reaction. I suppose we'll have to see if Obama believes his former pastor of 20 years or if he keeps his distance. If there is any instance in which I believe Barack Obama definitely lied during the campaign it is his complete denial that he ever witnessed any of the racist or anti-American stuff, or that he ever saw any of the literature of the same agenda which was prominantly displayed in the church. Lets just hope that Reverend Wright finds another rock and takes his place back in the shadows. The man should be standing in the unemployment line.

Defeat for Radical Homosexual Agenda; Victory for Citizen Effort to Reverse Anti-Religious Law in MI
November 05, 2008

ANN ARBOR, MI – “Hamtramck Citizens Voting No to ‘Special Rights’ Discrimination” scored a landslide victory by overturning an ordinance enacted by their City Council in June of this year, which gave special rights to homosexuals and so-called “transgendered” individuals. The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, represented the citizens group and joined community religious leaders in urging a “No” vote on November 4th.

Brian Rooney, a lawyer with the Thomas More Law Center, spoke at several events sponsored by the group and debunked the legal arguments made by representatives of the City Council in support of the anti-religious ordinance.

The “No” vote carried the day, 55% to 45 %.

The challenged ordinance had made it legal for men who perceive themselves as women to use women’s bathrooms in any school, business, or public facility. In classic Orwellian doublespeak, the ordinance defines such behavior as “Natural Rights of Hamtramck Residents.” Under the ordinance, any attempt to prevent such activity would have subjected the person to investigations, criminal prosecution, civil litigation, and fines of up to five hundred dollars per day.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center stated, “Radical homosexual groups have lost statewide attempts to impose their agenda on the public. They are now engaged in a strategy of putting pressure on municipalities –in many cases successfully – to enact draconian provisions like Hamtramck’s. In this case their new strategy failed as the will of the people prevailed.”

This is an email I wrote to some family and friends regarding our experiences following the passage of proposition 8:

Hello friends and family,

I am writing to you all tonight to let you know what's going on as a result of our support of California Proposition 8 which passed resulting in a constitutional ammendment which affirms marriage as being between a man and a woman. We have been actively campaigning for Yes on 8. This is our right and in deed our responsibility to act when we feel it is necessary to ensure our way of life and our culture. It is not hateful to be active in the political process, yet it is being alleged. We have had problems on Facebook, a social network on the internet that many of you belong to. It has caused us a lot of distress and so we have both deactivated our accounts on that site. You may have received an email circulating about (my wife) being called a "bigot" among other things...well, you are getting their censored version. (My wife) has received several emails sent to her personal account and has had to read the most vile things said about her. This coming from the people preaching tolerance, the people charging that we are hateful. If any of you know (my wife), which you all do, you would know that she is not hateful. She does not look down on people because of their sexual orientation, she even thought she had friends who are gay. It turns out that if you oppose gay marriage you "hate" gay people and guess what, they probably "hate" you back. At least that has been our experience. We want you all to know that you will not find us on facebook and hopefully you will not get any hateful emails come your way. (My wife) will be changing her email account in the next day or so and she'll let people know what that is at a later time.

Many of you are LDS and others have quite a few LDS friends. (My wife) believes this all started because she deleted a facebook "friend" for his hateful rantings about the church and it's members. You all must know that with the passage of Proposition 8 we have cut the gay community in California to their core. We have campaigned on this issue without hate in our hearts. I know this because I have been there with you and seen your faces. We have spoken openly about this issue and we have not had a spirit of hate in the campaign. That does not matter to some. Hopefully we can all be wise in our actions when this issue comes up and know that this very vocal minority is angry with our church because of our involvement.

Some of you may have voted NO on prop 8. That is your right. We do not hold it against you. You may think that we are misguided or wrong, but hateful does not describe the campaign we were a part of. If you want to know what we believe about marriage and families this short proclamation is our very doctrine on the issue. We have love for all of God's children and so does the LDS church. You may not believe that, but I know it is true. That is my testimony. I hope this email finds each of you well.

Election Night Notes

Today the better candidate lost. It is unfortunate, but we are Americans and we look forward to a bright future. I don't believe our futures will always be bright, but I hope that our near future is. Now that Barack Obama has been elected there isn't much more to say. Am I supposed to rail against his ideas? How about if I give it a few days, weeks, or even months. Right now I feel that I must support Obama for the simple reason that he will soon take the oath of office as our president. I am supporting him now in hopes that my prayers will be answered and he makes correct decisions while in office. I am sure to hate his economic plans, but the one thing he cannot afford to be wrong with is the safety and overall welfare of our troops.

I hope we will all pray for Barack Obama to be the best he can for America and it's interests at home and abroad. My support now does not mean I won't criticize him, but what I hope is that nobody will be rooting for his failure as the left has done with George W. Bush. We don't need more of the same hatred from the opposing party, we need to stand united against our enemies. We must hope and pray that we can stand proudly together to defeat out enemies and keep our military men and women safe.

Thankfully my children are homeschooled. They get to learn math, science, reading and even writing during school time. So far their mom/teacher hasn't tried to teach them about straight or gay sexuality. I guess my children aren't getting the quality of education given at the local public schools.

Define Our Borders Now!!

There should NEVER be a "lost", or otherwise, group of MEXICAN soldiers on U.S. soil without expressed invitation done within the laws of our country and it's states. The point is that nobody should cross into U.S. soil without knowing it.

The Rich Keep Getting Poorer...not by income but by definition

Maybe Barack Obama should just ask others to stop speaking for his campaign. Bill Richardson is the latest Democrat to reveal more about the Obama tax plan. Just as we suspected, the rich keep getting poorer.

Still, so many people don't get it. The government does not have the right to keep taking more and more of our money. I could understand if you don't have any money looking at a plan like Obama's and saying, "finally Robin Hood is running for president." The big problem with Robin Hood for president is that it isn't the American way. If you want to live under that sort of rule then move to Canada. You will find things much more tolerant there. The definition of American culture is changing at an alarming rate. The traditional minded people should not have to bend and flex to the winds of change because of one unpopular president and the loud and angry minority. Once again, stand up and be heard or be forever silent.

Creeping Communism, the Socialist Agenda

“I have talked face to face with the godless communist leaders. It may surprise you to learn that I was host to Mr. Khrushchev for a half day when he visited the United States, not that I’m proud of it. I opposed his coming then, and I still feel it was a mistake to welcome this atheistic murderer as a state visitor. But, according to President Eisenhower, Khrushchev had expressed a desire to learn something of American Agriculture — and after seeing Russian agriculture I can understand why. As we talked face to face, he indicated that my grandchildren would live under communism. After assuring him that I expected to do all in my power to assure that his and all other grandchildren will live under freedom he arrogantly declared in substance:
“ ‘You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like overripe fruit into our hands.’
“And they’re ahead of schedule in their devilish scheme.”

These are the words of Ezra Taft Benson. Ezra Taft Benson served as Secretary of Agriculture under President Eisenhower for eight years, at the same time he was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS church. He later would become President of the church.

We know how Satan works. It is by slow progression. One small sin here and one there until the large ones aren't so bad. Socialism and Communism are the same way. We have gone from a point in our history where morality and character mattered. Where there was such a thing as right and wrong. Where people expected to obtain in life only what they put into it. Where the government knew that people need a hand up not a handout. Where people had more self respect than to constantly lean on the government to solve all their problems. We went from the greatest generation to the welfare state, higher taxes, more government programs, huge deficits, government bailouts, homosexual marriage, rampant sexually transmitted diseases, sin of all sorts being brought into the mainstream, abortion, the culture of death, redistribution of wealth.

It is easy to see where we go from here. The fairness doctrine, decreased first amendment rights, elimination of second amendment rights, equal pay for unequal work, elimination of religious freedoms. We have to start somewhere. Now is our choice. We make a move to strengthen traditional values and government under McCain/Palin or we take another step toward socialism under the Obama administration. We have the opportunity to vote for change. Obama's change is in the wrong direction. I hope some of you realize that. In the meantime I'll be preparing my physical and spiritual storehouse for tougher times ahead.

Your Money Looks Better In My Pockets

It was just a few days ago that I warned that the Obama tax increases would be filtering down to lower and lower income families. While someone making $150,000 doesn't make a person low income, it is a big difference from the number Obama has been proposing all along. Now Senator Biden accidentally lets the cat out of the bag.

So many people are afraid to use the S word or the M word or the C word, but if we fail to recognize Socialism, Marxism and Communism we will have no choice but to live with them. Do not be lulled to sleep thinking these dangerous ideas could not become the law or the government in our country. If you make the mistake of voting it in you will never be able to rid yourselves of it. All one must do is listen to the words of a candidate and then compare their records. The further we go into this campaign the more we find out. Skeletons become unearthed and dangerous ideas exposed.

Sometimes we find the most morally reprehensible skeletons. I don't need a pay grade to know that protecting life is the right thing to do, especially when it comes to the life of an unsuccessful abortion. Unsuccessful abortion is kind of an oxymoron isn't it? Unfortunately it leaves behind a scarred individual who must be protected.

These are just small examples of the culture war. We must all become activists if we are to defeat the secular progressive movement. It will not ease on it's own and it is swallowing up our children. They have already taken hold of the weak-minded people of society, buying votes with promises of big government programs. It is really sad to see otherwise good people buy into the lies of the left and the promises of their godless world.

Interesting Alliances

George Santayana said, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Unfortunately our public schools have done a poor job of teaching us about our world's modern history and so we are being condemned by those who are ignorant of the ideas they support. Che Guevara is a symbol of something more than a screen printed t-shirt. He was a man who led in guerrilla warfare to bring down capitalism, overthrow governments, and aid in allowing militaristic fascist regimes to take their place. This was not a noble man. He was a Marxist killer. He specialized in DEATH.

Strangely enough, people across the United States who claim to be on the side of America support the very ideas he helped create. These people would much rather that we all suffer under brutal regimes than encourage self-sufficience and hard work. We have had a good chance to hear Barack Obama give his ideas on redistribution of wealth in the last few days. We even got to hear a recording of Obama from 2001 in which he laments that the civil rights movement of the 60's was too focused in the courts and was not able to progress the idea of redistribution of wealth into action. It is capitalism that Obama fears the most. He may not be calling for guerrilla warfare and overthrowing the government. Why should he? So many Americans are willing to vote for him democratically so he has no need to force his way in.

Your Part in the Culture War

We have a lot of examples of a culture war within society where the side of traditional values is more and more commonly losing to the side of the secular progressives. The problem is that many of the people aiding the secular progressives are people who agree with the side of traditional values, but because they bought the lie of liberalism are willing to sell away their way of life to ensure that the culture of depravity can take hold for the sake of equality. Equality is a lie. We are not equal. It would be nice to think so, but consider who you are supporting if you believe this lie.

#1 A case we're used to: In the early '90s the American Civil Liberties Union informed members of the California State Assembly's Education Committee that they were opposed to a bill the committee was considering. The bill, which called for traditional values in school curricula, was offensive to the ACLU because it would mandate that students be taught that monogamous, heterosexual relations solely within marriage is a traditional American value. The ACLU argued that this would be an "unconstitutional establishment of a religious doctrine in public schools." They went on to contend that the bill was an obvious violation of the First Amendment.

This assertion by the ACLU obviously points to it's desire to indoctrinate our children with the idea that homosexuality is equal to heterosexuality. Do you believe that young impressionable minds should be handicapped into believing that an "alternative lifestyle" is equal to heterosexuality and the inherent qualities of a man and a woman as complimentary beings in a monogamous relationship? Traditional values would beg you to support children with encouraging them toward that which is natural versus that which is unnatural.

#2 Who holds the culture of life?: The traditional minded person abhors the rate at which babies in this country are being aborted. It is not just the rape victim or the young girl who's stolen innocence left her with bearing the child of her sexually abusive family member. While those cases exist, it is not the norm in our society, nor is it the prime reason women are aborting babies. Abortion is the willful execution of a life. There are two sides to this issue. The pro-life side and the pro-choice side. Pro-choice says that a woman has the right to kill her baby for any reason. They have lobbied for partial birth abortion....let's think about that. Partial Birth Abortion. The baby is not terminated within the body of the mother, but after it has been partially birthed. That is a disgusting act. We live in a country where so many people are in sorrow over the prospect of not being able to have a child and yet we have a large group of people who would rather encourage a woman to kill her baby than to give the baby to a loving home where there are eager, loving parents. The pro-life side says there must be another way. We have so many innocent lives being slaughtered for the cause of a woman's right to chose. In most cases they made the choices that made them pregnant in the first place. Then we allow them to commit murder because they decide they don't want a baby. You don't have to keep your baby. You may place your child up for adoption. That is the side of the pro-life.

On the other side of this coin we have the same people who wilfully slaughter babies that are the ones rallying and protesting against capital punishment. They encourage infanticide, but want to save the lives of cold-blooded murderers. They rail against the abuses of the prison system and take 15 year-old girls in for an abortion and block parental rights to even know it's taking place. It is an interesting fact that 80% of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics are located in minority neighborhoods. It is also interesting that Margaret Sanger, the founder of the organization that would later become Planned Parenthood, advocated using birth control, sterilization, and abortion to weed out "the problem of the dependent, delinquent and defective elements in modern society." Wow, how very thoughtful and loving that statement is. The traditional value is the culture of life, and the culture of life ensures that we as a society are responsible for maintaining dignity and respect for all races and people.

#3 The religion of global warming: Al Gore is one of the prophets of the global warming movement. He and others on the left are trying to lure us into their new religion. This new religion needs no divinity in the heavens, because it's divinity is right here. Earth is what they worship and they are compelling us to worship it as well. One of their main tenets is that mankind is the evil that threatens the Earth. In the extreme green view, mankind is the scourge of this planet, the bottom rung of the ecological ladder. It's a radical view in which the cause is justified by any means necessary. We remember learning about the sale of indulgences that the Catholic church gave in place of repentance through a broken heart and a contrite spirit. All your sins could be forgotten for a fee. In this new religion they call these indulgences "carbon credits."

The traditional person is already conservation minded. They want to live off the land and help replenish it rather than inch their way toward destruction. The traditional person believes that the earth is here for our benefit. The plants and animals found on the earth are for our use and we must be good stewards of the land and the life it sustains. I'll gladly sell you some carbon credits and they'll be just as helpful to the environment as the ones Al Gore would sell you.

Since we have such strong approval from our government officials on the topic of the church of global warming aren't any of you concerned about our freedom of religion? A religion does not have to worship a god who dwells in the heavens. A religion of any amount of falsehood can be established to worship the earth. Which side are you on and why? Do you know who you follow and what their motives are?

Michael Savage coined the phrase, "liberalism is a mental disorder." This explains it all. Liberalism forces people to act in a way that is not in the best interest of themselves, their race, their religion, their country, or even their species. Liberalism causes good people to doubt their own inherent goodness, intellect, and honor. Liberalism is a mental disorder which can be fixed with doses of sanity and a realization that we are a noble and a good people who need only to look toward our best qualities instead of our worst.

Back to the lie of equality. You probably wondered what I meant in my opening statements. Are you starting to get it? Equality is a lie because it assumes that all thoughts, ideas and perspectives are correct. It is like insisting that the earth is flat in 2008. You may say it and enjoy a great following. You may convert a quarter of the whole earth to believe it, but would it make you right? Would that perspective give you a spot on the board at a major university or a seat on the US Senate? Probably not, but that is where liberalism comes into play. Liberalism says that all perspectives are valid and that there is no right or wrong, only different ways of looking at things. Do you believe that? Is the world only shades of grey in which tolerance is only reserved for the minority and not the majority? What happens when the majority sells it's right to that title through liberal perspectives? That is when the secular progressive minority takes over and the majority hands over the reigns of society. Is this where we want to send our culture? To the hands of those who preach tolerance, but don't practice it themselves? Not if I can help it.

Soldiers are Heroes

This one in particular. We went to school together, played football together, even jumped off a bridge together. We weren't particularly close friends, but he was always a cool guy and I liked him. I still do. It's been years since we've talked, but I've seen him online via myspace and facebook. That's how I got this photo.

I want people to know that John is a hero. He has chosen to do something that most of us are too afraid to. He has taken something that I agree with in principle and put it into practice. It takes a special person to be committed to a cause which they know is right and to act, putting their life on the line so that we can preserve our way of life. John is making the world better for our children by sacrificing for a cause bigger than himself. I admire that. I admire him. That may seem corny to some, but I really appreciate the sacrifices of our troops. There are so many that have given their lives for us. The only way to repay them is to appreciate them and to honor the country and the freedoms they work so hard to protect.

Food Storage and the Second Amendment

Proper food staorage is one of the most basic necessities every family needs to survive troubled times. Imagine a major natural disaster, biological warfare, socio-economic collapse (it's closer than you think) or even something as little as your main wage earner losing a job or getting injured. Having food storage may save you from taking drastic measures to feed your family in an emergency.

Knowing what items you need and how much is the first concern. The next concern is making your food storage have a long shelf life through proper packaging and storage.

One of the most overlooked items that goes hand in hand with food storage is protection. Besides the other reasons for owning and becoming proficient with firearms is the need to protect your property. We should be cheritable, but not foolish. Protecting our families during times of crisis is vitally important and for that cause we must be able to secure our own food storage and protect it.

A good solid 12 gauge shotgun is a good all-purpose weapon, but is only useful if you make the investment in ammunition. Do not be afraid or intimidated by a firearm. Be smart and safe. The best way to keep yourself safe around firearms is to become familiar with it and learn how to use it.

Polygamy, Gay Marriage and Values, By Charles Krauthammer

Interesting piece. As a member of the Mormon church I have at times wondered what life was like for the polygamists. I have felt angry for their treatment by the federal government, but am glad to have one wife that I cherish and I don't want or need another. The gay marriage debate has made me wonder what the fate of polygamy is going into the future. One cannot reasonably deny the lovng bond of a plural marriage while accepting homosexual marriage, right? What would this mean and what would be it's effects.
Krauthammer is a smart guy. You may recognize him from Fox News. Here's what he has to say:

WASHINGTON -- And now, polygamy.
With the sweetly titled HBO series ``Big Love,'' polygamy comes out of the closet. Under the headline ``Polygamists, Unite!'' Newsweek informs us of ``polygamy activists emerging in the wake of the gay-marriage movement.'' Says one evangelical Christian big lover: ``Polygamy rights is the next civil-rights battle.''
Polygamy used to be stereotyped as the province of secretive Mormons, primitive Africans and profligate Arabs. With ``Big Love" it moves to suburbia as a mere alternative lifestyle.

As Newsweek notes, these stirrings for the mainstreaming of polygamy (or, more accurately, polyamory) have their roots in the increasing legitimization of gay marriage. In an essay 10 years ago, I pointed out that it is utterly logical for polygamy rights to follow gay rights. After all, if traditional marriage is defined as the union of (1) two people of (2) opposite gender, and if, as gay marriage advocates insist, the gender requirement is nothing but prejudice, exclusion and an arbitrary denial of one's autonomous choices in love, then the first requirement -- the number restriction (two and only two) -- is a similarly arbitrary, discriminatory and indefensible denial of individual choice.
This line of argument makes gay activists furious. I can understand why they do not want to be in the same room as polygamists. But I'm not the one who put them there. Their argument does. Blogger and author Andrew Sullivan, who had the courage to advocate gay marriage at a time when it was considered pretty crazy, has called this the ``polygamy diversion,'' arguing that homosexuality and polygamy are categorically different because polygamy is a mere ``activity" while homosexuality is an intrinsic state that ``occupies a deeper level of human consciousness."
But this distinction between higher and lower orders of love is precisely what gay rights activists so vigorously protest when the general culture ``privileges'' (as they say in the English departments) heterosexual unions over homosexual ones. Was ``Jules et Jim'' (and Jeanne Moreau), the classic Truffaut film involving two dear friends in love with the same woman, about an ``activity'' or about the most intrinsic of human emotions?
To simplify the logic, take out the complicating factor of gender mixing. Posit a union of, say, three gay women all deeply devoted to each other. On what grounds would gay activists dismiss their union as mere activity rather than authentic love and self-expression? On what grounds do they insist upon the traditional, arbitrary and exclusionary number of two?
What is historically odd is that as gay marriage is gaining acceptance, the resistance to polygamy is much more powerful. Yet until this generation, gay marriage had been sanctioned by no society that we know of, anywhere at any time in history. On the other hand, polygamy had been sanctioned, indeed common, in large parts of the world through large swaths of history, most notably the biblical Middle East and through much of the Islamic world.
I'm not one of those who see gay marriage or polygamy as a threat to or assault on traditional marriage. The assault came from within. Marriage has needed no help in managing its own long slow suicide, thank you. Astronomical rates of divorce and of single parenthood (the deliberate creation of fatherless families) existed before there was a single gay marriage or any talk of sanctioning polygamy. The minting of these new forms of marriage is a symptom of our culture's contemporary radical individualism -- as is the decline of traditional marriage -- and not its cause.
As for gay marriage, I've come to a studied ambivalence. I think it a mistake for society to make this ultimate declaration of indifference between gay and straight life, if only for reasons of pedagogy. On the other hand, I have enough gay friends and feel the pain of their inability to have the same level of social approbation and confirmation of their relationship with a loved one that I'm not about to go to anyone's barricade to deny them that. It is critical, however, that any such fundamental change in the very definition of marriage be enacted democratically and not (as in the disastrous case of abortion) by judicial fiat.
Call me agnostic. But don't tell me that we can make one radical change in the one-man, one-woman rule and not be open to the claim of others that their reformation be given equal respect.

Hero of the Day...Remember the COS

Bill Cosby is a great American. He has been attacked for being critical of his own race for some of their shortcomings, but we should all be able to appreciate the truth and apply it to our own lives. White or black or anything in between, we all need to end the stupidity. End the hopelessness. We may not like some of the things going on around us, but changing the world begins at home.
Some of my favorite excerpts from the famous Pound Cake speech:

The Hitler of Our Time II and the Messiah for the Godless

Progress toward what? Notice that the hands form a circle which can be taken to stand for Obama. Emanating from the circle are rays of light. The hands form a sun. The symbol of the sun has been used to characterize Jesus Christ and the light of Christ. Here it is used to represent the light of Obama.

Is Obama socialism what this country really needs? He has already admitted to "Joe the Plumber" that he wants to redistribute wealth. Sure, he says that will only be for those earning $250,000 a year or more. I think we can believe him on that one, but maybe in a couple years we'll have to lower that to $150,000. I mean, it takes a lot of money to create new government programs. NATIONAL SOCIALIST HEALTHCARE, EARLY EDUCATION INDOCTRINATION CENTERS, EQUAL PAY FOR UNEQUAL WORK. Just a few of Obama's great ideas.

Barack Obama's plans for expanding the middle class include bringing some people DOWN through taxation and others UP though redistribution of wealth. Both ideas are dangerous. Many of America's poor are hard working people that have had a few bad breaks, made decisions that limited earning opportunities (I grew up in one of these families), or are afraid to take the leap to something more economically rewarding. Money isn't everything, but if that is your philosophy you MUST be willing to accept the consequences of it as well. There is another group in America's poor and that is the lazy, the unskilled, and the unwilling. I know all too well about these people too. The last thing they need is a handout. What we should do is encourage provident living, not welfare. Big social programs are just that, WELFARE. People need a hand-up not a hand-out.



Barack Obama is not evil. He won't kill millions of people through ethnic cleansing. He will however bring forward the movement toward socialism in America. It won't happen all at once, but we can't afford to let it start. We already know that government programs don't go away. When his big ideas become reality we have little chance of ever eliminating them. The Hitler of our Time II is socialism. Here to introduce it is the messiah of the godless liberal socialist movement.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the Hitler of our time. He denies the holocaust ever existed and worse yet has advocated for a new one in the 21st Century. Evil men like this must be dealt with in the strongest possible terms. America affirms the right and responsibility to ensure the security of our nation and we must also support Israel as they try to do the same.

Barack Obama and the Face of Racism in America




It is no secret that Barack Obama has known and loved his pastor for the last two decades, but has recently under heavy scrutiny broken ties with his pastor. Reverend Wright helped Obama get his political career started all the while inciting contempt for white Americans and America in general. Reverend Wright is just another prime example of the black race-baters on the left who pretend to want equality, but preach ideals of black supremacy and black nationalism. Men like this are nothing more than a BLACK KKK.

There are plenty of good black people in our country. Plenty of great black leaders who understand how to be accomplished in life and overcome obstacles. The greatest example I can think of is Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Justice Thomas is a great American who has overcome so much in his life and has risen to the top of his profession. He is a man of great integrity that all Americans should look to for inspiration. All one needs to do is read a short biography of Justice Thomas to understand that this is a man who overcame so much and holds on to principle rather than race. We can all learn from this.

Civil Rights vs. Cultural Wrong


As the campaign comes to a close Californians have the task of voting on some very divisive issues. Proposition 8 aims to affirm traditional marriage and correctly ban homosexual "marriage." In a state where the minority rules over the majority because of liberalism, traditional God-loving people are forced into a position of eliminating "rights" that should never have been granted in the first place. We also have Proposition 4 which would require doctors to notify parents if their child was seeking an abortion. Planned Parenthood and other liberal ANTI-LIFE organizations oppose this proposition because they want a culture of sexual promiscuity and death.

We will be called bigots, racists, homophobic, hateful and unchristian in an attempt to scare us away from standing up for what is right. We can not be afraid. We can not equivocate. It is time for good people across America to stand up against liberal politicians and organizations who stomp on traditional values in order to move us further from God. We must not remain the silent majority, but become the vocal and proud majority. We must fight for what is right or we will certainly be forced to remain silent forever. They have already labelled it hate speech to oppose homosexuality, and it will only get worse. We will be forced into silence as our children are indoctrinated in schools. We will be forced into silence as our churches are forced to accept homosexual marriage. We must not lie down silently. California has a lot of decisions to make and those of us who favor traditional values must be ready for anything in this "brave new world" we're being handed.
